Who’s Who
(committee members and fellow travellers)
The Hoe Neighbourhood Forum (“the Forum”) was formed by local residents to enable our community to have a greater say in planning decisions that affect us. A lot of work has been done to engage with local residents, local businesses, and Plymouth City Council and to draft a neighbourhood plan based on our shared vision for the future.
People who live, work, or run businesses within the area are welcome to join the Hoe Neighbourhood Forum. The Forum generally meets on the last Wednesday of the month at the Hoe Bowling Club to discuss progress on the neighbourhood plan, planning applications that may affect the Hoe area (including proposals for the Register Office on Lockyer Street), and general issues of concern in our neighbourhood.

The Localism Act 2011 gave communities in the UK more power over future planning issues in their area. In July 2017 the Forum attained formal recognition from Plymouth City Council and became a statutory consultee for proposed planning schemes in our area. The boundaries of the Hoe Neighbourhood Area are shown in the map below.
